Your First Visit

As part of your consideration, we want you to know that the methods of Agape Mobile Veterinary Care have been planned to ensure we can achieve our goal of delivering relationship-centered, high quality veterinary care to your doorstep. We will schedule appointments sufficient to have a fulsome conversation about your pet, complete all needed exams, conduct any agreed-upon necessary diagnostic tests, and then debrief about findings and options fully to arrive at a treatment plan with which we are both comfortable.

Then, we will initiate the plan, if appropriate, and discuss any follow-up or next steps. You will not be rushed during these appointments. Having said that, we will absolutely honor your time and can be flexible to accommodate your particular situation. And, regardless of the timing, we will ensure you fully understand any diagnosis and recommendations, options, and choices, and that ultimately you understand the reasoning behind the plan we make for your pet.

Steps for the Veterinary Visit:

Schedule an Appointment

To schedule an appointment with Dr. Hay please call, email, or request an appointment using the link below. Because of the personalized service we provide, we may be unable to assist you immediately when you call. Rest assured we will be checking voice messages, email, and the online appointment request portal throughout the day between appointments and before the close of every business day.

In most cases, we expect to be able to respond to your request within a few hours, and at the latest, we will respond to you within one business day. If your need is urgent, please proceed to your local emergency veterinary provider and let us know how we can support any needed follow-up.

Concierge House Call Visits

  • This in-person house call visit is perfect for all wellness and sick pet appointments.
  • Dr. Hay and our dedicated staff will schedule a reserved time to come to your location, providing comprehensive care right at your doorstep.

Telemedicine/Tele-Triage Consults

  • Opt for our telemedicine service when you have questions about your pet’s health or need to determine if an in-person visit is necessary.
  • This zoom-based video call allows you to connect directly with Dr. Hay, who will provide expert guidance.
  • Please note that follow-up calls related to lab work results or medication refills do not require a telemedicine appointment.
  • However, if you have ongoing concerns about your pet’s wellness or questions about their care plan, scheduling a telemedicine appointment with Dr. Hay ensures a timely and thorough discussion.

Prior To Your Appointment

Email All Previous Records

If we will be seeing your pet for the first time, please email your pet’s medical records to us 48 hours prior to your pet’s appointment. This will allow Dr. Hay and our staff sufficient time to review your pet’s health record including previous diagnoses and treatments, vaccines and medications, as well as any other pertinent information. In addition to getting to know more about your pet, this will allow us to provide a more personalized summary when we send you the Pre-Visit Treatment Plan.

Review Your Pre-Visit Treatment Plan

A few days before your scheduled appointment, you will receive a Pre-Visit Treatment Plan from Agape Mobile Veterinary Care (please look for an email from info@agapemobilevetcare.com and add us to your safe sender list ☺). This Plan will summarize our recommendations for wellness lab work and vaccines, as well as any other diagnostic tests or procedures that we anticipate based on the information discussed when we schedule your appointment. While we will do our best to make this accurate so that you have an idea of what services we recommend as well as the associated cost, please know that as we learn new information through physical exam and our in-person discussion, this plan may need to be adjusted to best serve your pet. We will communicate this and discuss it with you as needed during our visit.

Confirm Your Appointment

We will send an appointment confirmation request around the same time we send your Pre-Visit Treatment Plan. As an appointment block will be set aside for your pet, please confirm your appointment when you receive this request.

During Your Appointment

On the day of our appointment, we will give you a call ahead of your scheduled time to provide an estimate of our arrival time. We will do everything we can to arrive on time and appreciate your patience as we have all encountered Houston traffic and it’s unpredictability! If anything changes as we head your way, we will keep you informed.

Arrival

When we arrive, we will plan to come to the door and will progress with the appointment as you and your pet prefer, either completely in our mobile clinic, in your home, or a combination depending on what services are needed.

Appointment

A nose-to-tail exam will be performed with a full explanation of the exam findings. We will also do our very best to answer all questions you may have about your pets. After the exam additional treatments will be discussed and an updated Treatment Plan provided if necessary.

Visit Conclusion

The agreed upon Treatment Plan will be initiated and we will be able to check you out before we leave. Following your appointment with us, you can expect a timely call to discuss results of any lab work, and timely reminders for any subsequent appointments or recommended follow-ups.
